What do I need to participate?

Your creativity and will to learn from other people! Even if you are a professional, a student or even just a passionate person about film you are welcome!

Do I need to have any professional equipment?

We recommend to bring your equipment (If you are an editor, you can bring your computer) If you have professional equipment and you want to use yours in to filmaker you are more than welcome. Sharing is caring!

Is the kinolab open 24 hours?

Yes

Is there Internet in the kinolab?

Yes

Is there Internet in the houses I’m staying?

No

Is there any supermarket in Balada?

No, but there is one in Sant Jaume d’Enveja and Amposta. Feel free to bring some food of your own before going to Balada if you wish. Remeber we will provide food all day.

How much does it cost?

How do I pay?

You can pay via bank transfer. We will give you all the details when you register

I need acomodation. Where can I stay?

We offer acomodation for Kino Tarragonik. Balada is between Sant Jaume d’Enveja and Amposta where you can find acomodation if you wish to look for accomodation by yourself. Be aware if you stay outsite of Balada you will need a car to go to the kinolab.

What happens if my english is not so good?

Don’t worry, we are a mix of cultures so we will help each other!

What happens when we finish our shortfilm?

You can do whatever you want. You can use it as a curriculum for your career or even send it to film festivals. We don’t own any shortfilm (it’s yours!) and we don’t make any money with it. Tarragonik is a place to profesionals and amateurs to get together and make films in an unconventional way!

Is there food there? Do I have to bring my own?

Yes. Water and food.

*Be aware that if you have an allergie, we can not provide food for you in the kinolab for safety reasons

Can I bring my drone? Is there any restrictions?

Yes you can. We will provide information about where you can not use it. Delta de l’Ebre has a lot of places where animals are protected so we have to be very careful.

Can I film wherever I want?

We will give you information of the protected areas. We will give a recording permission to all the kinoites.

What roles can I play?

Director, Actor, Actress, Scriptwriter, Cinematographer, Editor, Composer, Sound designer, Art Director (Costume, make up, visuals…), Producer and even all around helper!

I will be in Amposta the day before Kino Tarragonik starts, how do I get to Balada?

We will pick up with our private car all the kinoites in Amposta. We will post the times soon.

I will be in Amposta the morning Kino Tarragonik starts, how do I get to Balada?

We will pick up with our private car all the kinoites who are in Amposta in the morning. We will post the times soon.

How do I return home the next morning when Kino Tarragonik ends?

We will provide a ride to Amposta bus station. We will post the times soon. But we will talk with all the kinoites who need a ride and decide all together.

What’s the weather like there?

It’s very hot! Please feel free to bring a strong sunburn protection and most importantly a mosquito repellent.

Yes
